Privacy Policy

Key Principle: Your health data is yours. We collect only what we need to provide personalized insights, never sell it, and give you full control over your information.

1. What We Collect

Health and Wellness Data

  • Self-reported information: Symptoms, mood, sleep quality, energy levels, pain, and other health observations you share through conversations
  • Wearable device data: Sleep metrics, heart rate variability, activity levels, and recovery data from Apple HealthKit, Garmin Connect, Whoop, and other connected devices (only with your explicit consent). When you connect wearable services, data is submitted to ΔN1, not to those device manufacturers. Third-party device providers (such as Garmin) are not responsible for how we handle your data.
  • Environmental context: Weather and location-based factors that might affect your health. We do not automatically collect location data—you must explicitly opt in to location features, and you can disable them at any time.
  • Intervention tracking: Supplements, dietary changes, exercise modifications, and their outcomes

Technical Data

  • App usage: How you interact with features, conversation patterns, and engagement metrics
  • Device information: Device type, operating system, app version for technical support
  • Performance data: Crash reports and performance metrics to improve the app

Account Information

  • Basic profile: Email address, age range, general location (city/state level)
  • Preferences: Communication preferences, notification settings, privacy choices

2. How We Use Your Data

Personalized Health Insights

  • Pattern recognition: Identify connections between lifestyle factors and health outcomes specific to you
  • Recommendations: Generate personalized suggestions based on your unique data patterns
  • Learning optimization: Improve recommendation accuracy through your feedback and outcomes
  • Predictive insights: Anticipate potential health impacts based on your historical patterns

Service Improvement

  • Algorithm enhancement: Improve our pattern recognition and recommendation systems (using anonymized, aggregated data)
  • Feature development: Understand which features provide the most value to users
  • Quality assurance: Ensure our insights are accurate and biologically plausible

Communication

  • Service notifications: Important updates about your health patterns or app functionality
  • Educational content: Relevant health information based on your interests and patterns
  • Support: Respond to your questions and provide technical assistance

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your health data. Ever.

Limited Sharing Scenarios

  • Service providers: Trusted partners who help us provide the service (cloud hosting, analytics) under strict confidentiality agreements
  • Aggregated research: Anonymous, population-level insights for health research (no individual identification possible)
  • Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect safety (we will notify you unless prohibited)
  • Business transfer: In the event of a merger or acquisition, with equivalent privacy protections

With Your Explicit Consent

  • Healthcare providers: Share relevant insights with your doctors or health team (only with your permission)
  • Research participation: Contribute to health research studies (completely voluntary and anonymous)
  • Integration partners: Connect with other health apps or services you choose

4. Data Security

Technical Safeguards

  • Encryption: Data encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest
  • Access controls: Limited employee access with authentication requirements
  • Infrastructure: Industry-standard cloud hosting with security monitoring
  • Security reviews: Periodic security assessments

Data Minimization

  • Purpose limitation: We collect only data necessary for providing personalized insights
  • Retention limits: Data deleted when no longer needed for service provision
  • De-identification: Personal identifiers removed from data used for algorithm improvement

5. Your Rights and Controls

Data Access and Control

  • Data export: Download all your data in a portable format at any time
  • Account deletion: Permanently delete your account and all associated data
  • Data correction: Update or correct any inaccurate information
  • Processing restrictions: Limit how we use your data for specific purposes

Privacy Controls

  • Granular permissions: Choose which data sources to connect (wearables, apps, etc.)
  • Sharing preferences: Control which insights can be shared and with whom
  • Communication settings: Customize notification frequency and types
  • Data retention: Set preferences for how long we keep different types of data

6. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

  • Right to know: Request information about what personal data we collect and how we use it
  • Right to delete: Request deletion of your personal information
  • Right to opt-out: We do not sell personal information, but you may opt out of any future sale
  • Non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights

To exercise your CCPA rights, contact us at privacy@deltan1.com. We will respond within 45 days.

7. Health Data and Third-Party Devices

Consumer Wellness App

ΔN1 is a consumer fitness and wellness application—not a medical device or healthcare provider. We are not covered by HIPAA. We take reasonable measures to protect your health data, but this app is not intended for medical purposes.

Connected Wearable Devices

When you connect wearable devices or health platforms (such as Garmin Connect, Apple HealthKit, or Whoop):

  • Your data comes to us: Data you share from these services is submitted to ΔN1, not to the device manufacturers
  • We are responsible: ΔN1 is solely responsible for the security of your data once it reaches our systems—not Garmin, Apple, or other device providers
  • Consent required: We only access your wearable data with your express prior consent
  • Data deletion: If you revoke consent or request deletion, we will delete your wearable data
  • No resale: We do not sell, rent, or transfer data received from wearable device platforms

Sensitive Data Handling

  • Medical information: Any medical data you share is treated with care
  • Genetic data: We do not process genetic information without explicit specialized consent

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. When we make changes:

  • Material changes: We will notify you via email or in-app notification before material changes take effect
  • Updated date: The "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy will be revised
  • Continued use: Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance
